Once a major trading route, Xi’an is now a popular tourist attraction for the well-known Army of Terracotta Warriors, of which there are more than 7,000. The Terracotta Warriors are legions of archers, lancers and foot soldiers, with real weapons, designed to protect Emperor Qin in the afterlife. For more than 2,000 years, the Terracotta Army was buried in the ground. Less than 30 years ago, it was discovered and still is a great cultural attraction for anyone visiting China today.
