Tasmania
The Overland Track and Wineglass Bay are perfect examples of what draws visitors to Tasmania: Nature. Whether it's hiking, bushwalking or camping, Tasmania will give you a lot to choose from. The island is so small that you can explore much of it over the course of a week. If you're craving civilization, Hobart will give you your fill. If you are going to visit one gaol (jail) as a tribute to Australia's convict roots, plan on visiting Port Arthur. A note - Port Arthur was the site of a massacre in 1996, where 35 people were killed, and lead to a total overhaul of Australia's gun laws.
