The capital of Western Australia, and home to more than three-fourths of the state's population, Perth is the world's most remote capital - Adelaide sits 2-3 days away via car. However, Perth has developed a self-sustaining industries all its own, and its residents enjoy a relatively high standard of living. With temperatures similar to that found in Sydney, but minus the humidity, Perth continues to experience population growth, slowly extending south along the coastline.
