Bilbao Travel Guide

The largest city in Spain’s Basque region, Bilbao is probably most famous as the site of the Guggenheim Museum designed by Frank Gehry. For most, the Guggenheim is the principal (if not only) reason to visit the city, both for the art collection it holds and the building itself. Bilbao is one of the most expensive cities in Spain, leading to a decreasing population and, more recently, an increased focus on urban renewal and tourism.
