Hawaii Travel Guide Overview

Hula girls, coconuts, volcanoes and floral leis, Hawaii is the United States' closest thing to an island paradise. It's not secluded, but definitely romantic, and remains a popular honeymoon destination.

What to do

Hawaii is one of the favorite places to spend a romantic getaway or honeymoon. So it might be cliche but the resorts are probably the state's most important tourist attractions.

All sorts of tours are also highly popular among tourists: volcano tours, boat tours, air tours, whale watching, swim with dolphins... and pretty much any other activity you can think about when you are visiting a paradise.

Getting there

Most flights to Hawaii land on Honolulu International Airport (HNL)on the island of Oaho. Direct flights to other islands are also available so when looking for a flight to Hawaii you won't have troubles finding an affordable one. Honolulu airport is the main hub for Hawaii Airlines.

If you need to get to the airport by car you can save both time and money on Honolulu airport parking by booking it and paying for it online. Or you can book the Honolulu airport shuttles in advance for a fast and cheap ride to the airport.

Where to stay

Besides the very popular resorts which you can choose from when planning your vacation in Hawaii, you can always opt for a hotel in Hawaii or even a hostel. Under the designation of "hostels" you'll even find some budget resorts but rest assured, there are real hostels in Hawaii as well.
