We were in Uganda, gorilla trekking in Bwindi for 1 day. We went chimpanzee trekking in Queen Elizabeth National Park for 1 day, and then we had a game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park for 2 days.

Why or why not?
We were well looked after and had no problems with any of our bookings or transportation. I was a little dismayed to see that when we showed-up to pay in person credit-cards were not accepted, only cash or Travellers cheques. I was told that this was because nobody usually wants to pay credit cards due to high fees tacked on by the banks.
What's one piece of advice for going on an adventure?
Keep in mind that the gorilla trekking in Bwindi is done by the Uganda Wildlife Authority - not your tour company. Your tour company is responsible for arranging the permits and lodging - but on the day of the trek you're handed over to the UWA guides for the trek. Your experience in the park (good or bad) is largely due to chance (weather, how far the gorillas are, overall fitness level of the humans) and the UWA trackers/guides.
