Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Durban

Arrive in Durban at any time.

Day 2-3 Drakensberg Mountains (2B,2L,2D)

Depart for a two night stay in the Drakensberg mountain range. Relax at the hotel or walk through the cliffs and gorges for countless scenic lookouts.

Day 4-5 Hogsback (2B,2L,2D)

Leave the Southern Drakensberg for a scenic drive to Hogsback. Spend the next two days relaxing in the serenity of the mountains, or hiking along the many trails in the area.

Day 6 Addo Elephant National Park (B,L,D)

Addo, valley of elephants and roses, lies in the Lower Sundays River Valley, stretching from the Indian Ocean to the Zuurberg Mountains. Take part in a walking safari through Addo Elephant National park where elephants, black rhinos, lions, buffalos and leopards are bountiful.

Day 7-8 Tsitsikamma (2B,2L,2D)

Visit Tsitsikamma National Park, "the place with too much water", to see the cascading water descend to the Indian Ocean and ancient rivers flow through crevices. Abseiling, sea kayaking, mountain biking, and bungee jumping are optional activities. Make camp at Storms Rivers and take a short hike to Storms River Gorge and the awe-inspiring coastline.

Day 9 Outdshoorn (B,L,D)

En route to the Little Karoo Regions, visit the Knysna Heads, two sandstone cliffs that guard the lagoon below. Travel over the Outeniqua Mountains into Outdshoorn, and explore the Cango Caves and take an optional tour of an ostrich farm where you can ride one of these huge birds.

Day 10 Stellenbosch (B,L)

Explore Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa. Enjoy wine tasting and buying, getting a taste of the South African way of life.

Day 11 Cape Town (B)

Drive to Cape Town, the "Mother City". Climb Table Mountain or take the cable car to catch breathtaking views of the city and shoreline. Do some last-minute curio shopping, lay on the beach or go to Simon's Town and see Africa's penguin colony.
