Itinerary

01: Kathmandu

Upon arrival at the International Airport, our staff from Nature Trail will receive you and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free for independent exploration of the city and walk through the local market.

02: Kathmandu

After breakfast, sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square and Tribhuvan Museum, Mahendra Museum & Swayambhunath Temple including the National Museum at Chaunni, Boudhanath stupa.

03: Fly Kathmandu / Lhasa

Transfer from Gonggar airport to your hotel in Lhasa.

04: Lhasa

Guided sightseeing tour - Sera Monastery, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar

05: Lhasa

Guided sightseeing tour - Drepung Monastery, Potala Palace and Norbulinkha Palace

06: Lhasa - Gyantse

After crossing the Yarlung (Brahmaputra) River, the road climbs steeply to the Kamba - La with its magnificent views of the turquoise waters of Yamdruk Tso. Continue to Gyantse with its fascinating Kumbum, Palkor Chode Monastery and fort.

07: Gyantse / Shigatse

After the short drive from Gyantse, visit Tashilumpo Monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lama and one of the most important monasteries in Tibet.

08: Shigatse / Lhatse

Continuing across the vast Tibetan plains, cross the Yalung - La before making a sidetrip to Shakya Monastery.

09: Lhatse / Nyalam

A long drives today, via Dolma - La, Xegar, Tingri and Lalung - La, to Nyalam. Along the way. There are breathtaking views of the mountains including Mt. Everest.

10: Nyalam / Kathmandu

From Nyalam, the road descends to the border and, after completing the formalities at Zhangmu and Kodari, returns to Kathmandu.

11: Kathmandu / Departure

Depending on your flight time, we will transfer you to the International airport. Tour ends.
