Days 3-4 Hunter Valley

Cycle through the Hunter Valley's vineyards and villages, sampling world-famous wine, cheese, and olives along the way. After dusk, hit the local pub for a schooner with the locals.

Day 5 Myall Lakes

Relax among glassy lakes, sprawling sand dunes and rocky headlands, before a classic Aussie beachside barbecue.

Days 6-7 New England Farmstay

Muck in on a rustic farmstay. Shear sheep, trap yabbies, harvest vegetables and feast on hearty home-cooked tucker.

Day 8 Bellingen

Waterfall Way is the ultimate scenic route, passing through some of Australia's most treasured terrain. Traverse rugged gorges, towering waterfalls and World Heritage-listed national parks before reaching the evergreen hillside town of Bellingen and ending the day with a beer at the local pub.

Days 9-10 Byron Bay

Recharge with a morning stroll or bike ride around Bellingen. Find inner peace in a hippy haven on Australia's easternmost point.

Day 11 Brisbane

Chill out in Queensland's riverside capital amid tropical parklands and a flourishing arts scene.

Explore this pristine island by 4WD and take a dip in freshwater lakes. End the day with a sunset game of beach cricket.

Learn about life on the land during a stay at an Outback cattle station. Crack a stockman's whip, lasso a calf and help out around the farm.

Days 17-18 Airlie Beach

Waterbabies will rejoice in Airlie Beach, a hub of all things aquatic. Island-hop through the tropical Whitsundays.

Days 19-20 Mission Beach

Spend the day conquering white water rapids or soothing aching muscles with a relaxing massage before retiring to a tranquil rainforest hut. Keep an eye out for cassowaries: rare and elusive giant birds with distinctive horn-like crests.
