Days 1-2 Sydney

Wander by The Rocks and Opera House, cruise the glittering harbour and stretch those legs on a clifftop stroll to iconic Bondi Beach.

Days 3-4 Hunter Valley

Sample the world-famous Hunter Valley wines and cheeses on a cycling tour through the region's vineyards.

Day 5 Myall Lakes

Chill-out in a relaxed setting of lakes, lush rainforest and rocky headlands.

Days 6-7 New England Farmstay

Shear a sheep and catch a yabby on a rustic farmstay.

Day 8 Northern NSW Hinterland

Travel along Waterfall Way past national parks, rugged gorges and cascading waterfalls.

Days 9-10 Byron Bay

Mingle with the locals in this hippy hangout.

Day 11 Brisbane

Unwind in Queensland's laid-back capital amid extensive parklands and a flourishing arts scene.

Day 12 Hervey Bay

Head north through the lush Sunshine Coast hinterland to Hervey Bay, where nothing beats a meal of fish and chips on the beach.

Days 13-14 Fraser Island

Take a 4WD adventure into the great outdoors to swim in pristine freshwater lakes.

Days 15-16 Outback Farmstay

Get in and get your hands dirty and learn to crack a whip while staying at an outback cattle station.

Days 17-18 Airlie Beach

Enjoy a cruise among the balmy waters of the Whitsundays.

Days 19-20 Mission Beach

Have a go at sea kayaking before settling in to sleep in a tranquil rainforest hut. Keep an eye out for cassowaries, an endangered and fiersome bird that frequents this area.

Days 21-22 Cairns

Hot and humid Cairns is a backpackers' mecca and launch pad to the Great Barrier Reef and Cape Tribulation.
