Day 1 Hobart
Sitting on the picturesque Derwent River, this former penal colony is a beautiful place to explore.Day 2 Tarraleah
Take in the sights of Hobart before heading for the hills to visit Tasmania's oldest national park, Mt Field. Hike out to Russell Falls and around Lake Dobson. Explore the Styx Valley, bursting with flora and fauna, and marvel at the 10 storey high gum trees.Day 3 Strahan
Delve deeper into the wilderness with a visit to Australia's deepest freshwater lake at Lake St Clair. Discover Tasmania's diverse beauty along the west coast before stopping at quiet Strahan. Wander down to wild Ocean Beach or Hogarth Falls in the evening.Day 4 Cradle Mountain
Join the crew on the Lady Jane Franklin for an optional Gordon River Cruise or ride on the West Coast Wilderness Railway before saying hi to some Tassie devils at a wildlife sanctuary.Day 5 Launceston
Hit the trails on a guided walk around Cradle Mountain, surrounded by native deciduous beeches, rainforest, alpine heathland and button grass. Sate your appetite stopping in at a cheese factory and raspberry farm on the way to Launceston, the perfect place to relax in a cafe.Days 6-7 Bicheno/Freycinet National Park
Continue east to St Helens and take a walk on the white sands and orange lichen-covered rocks of the Bay of Fires. Explore the pristine coastal scenery of Freycinet Peninsula.Day 8 Port Arthur/Hobart
Visit the coastal town of Swansea before heading to the tranquil hills and forest of the Tasman Peninsula and historic Port Arthur.
