Itinerary

Day 1 Kota Kinabalu

The jewel-like waters and white, sandy beaches of Gaya Island are just a short ferry trip from Kota Kinabalu. Once on the island, there's time to swim, snorkel or stroll through the sun-dappled jungles in search of macaques, monitor lizards, hornbills and scaly-skinned pangolins.

Days 2-3 Gaya Eco Resort

Situated on a reef and fringed by lush, steamy rainforest, comfortable air-conditioned chalets are the perfect place to chill out. Sit back on the balcony with cool drink in hand while gazing out at a veiw of lush green hills. For something more active, consider taking a splash in the resort's saltwater pool, canoeing, learning to scuba dive or exploring the other four islands in this stunning marine park.

Day 4 Kota Kinabalu

Cruise back over blue waters to Sabah's charming capital.
