Learn to cook regional Chinese cuisine in a traditional courtyard house set among the amazing scenery of Guanxi Province. You have two mornings of hands-on cooking instruction, learning the different cooking techniques and all-important tips on serving up delicious meals at home. You visit the colourful local market to select ingredients and learn the information and secrets that have been handed down for generations from a local. Your home for four nights, the Magnolia Hotel, is located a short walk from the beautiful Li River and the busy West Street bars and restaurants.

Itinerary
Day 1 Guilin/Yangshuo
A fusion of quirky Western influence and traditional Chinese rural style, charming Yangshuo beckons. Stay in a lovely hotel just minutes from the scenic Li River.Days 2-3 Cooking School
Visit the market filled with fresh produce, before heading out to the nearby village of Chao Long. The hands-on cooking lessons are set in a traditional courtyard house, with expert local guidance. Teachers reveal their techniques, then it's your turn. Learn about classic southern Chinese cuisine. A cookbook with recipes and photos of the dishes is included to help you recreate the meals when you get home.Days 4-5 Yangshuo/Guilin
No visit to Yangshuo would be complete without a tour through the unique countryside and its surreal karst scenery. Cycle or drive among traditional rural scenes, stopping to enjoy lunch at a local guide's home. Relax in some of the restaurants and cafes along West Street before bidding farewell to Yangshuo and beautiful Guanxi Province.Trip Information
