Itinerary

Days 1-2 Istanbul

This magical city of minarets, mosques and markets will inspire and delight. Get to know Sultanahmet and take a visit to the fabled Constantinople city walls.

Day 3 Canakkale

In the fishing village of Canakkale, explore the ruins of a medieval castle, or just sit back and ponder the mystical beauty of the Dardanelles. Maybe make a trip to Gallipoli, to reflect on the tragedy of WWI amid the moving memorials and windswept scenery.

Days 4-5 Ayvalik

Visit the site of the city of Troy where a local guide makes the ancient legends of this historic site come to life. Then travel to charming Ayvalik, the perfect place for chilling out, swimming or roaming the cobbled backstreets. Take a boat cruise from the harbour, the best way to appreciate the Aegean.

Day 6 Selcuk

Once the heart of the great East Roman Empire, ruined Ephesus still retains some of its past glory in its well-preserved streets, temples and amphitheatre. Delve deeper into the fascinating history of this region with an optional visit to the excellent Ephesus museum.

Day 7 Pamukkale

Relax amid the rejuvenating hot springs and gleaming white terraces of Pamukkale. Admire the pools which have been famed for their medicinal qualities since Roman times.

Day 8 Istanbul

Take an early morning ferry ride across the European shore to soak up views of Istanbul's stunning skyline. Be dazzled by the exquisite tile-work in the Rustem Pasha Mosque, and marvel at Suleyman the Magnificent's mosque complex, the grandest in the capital. Make sure to see the elegant Topkapi Palace and iconic Blue Mosque before saying goodbye to wonderful Turkey.
