Visit the architectural wonder of Sumela Monastery. Take the time to admire its biblical frescoes and gaze out into the lush scenery of the Altindere Valley below.Days 3-4 Kackar Mountain Retreat
Alpine landscape and forgotten traditions combine in the rugged Kackar Mountains.Day 5 Kars
Drive through the yurt-dotted steppes of north-east Turkey en route to the remote city of Kars, our base for a visit to the Armenian ghost town of Ani.Day 6 Dogubayazit
