Itinerary
Day 1 Durban
Arrive in Durban at any time.Days 2-3 Drakensberg Mountains (2B)
Depart for a two night stay in the spectacular Drakensberg mountain range, originally referred to as the “Dragon Mountains” by the early settlers. Soak up the sun and relax at the hotel or enjoy one of the optional activities.Days 4-5 Wild Coast
Pass through Mooi River area, home to several of South Africa's finest stud farms. Carry on with the journey, towards the Eastern Cape.Day 6 Patensie (D)
Head to Patensie, the gateway to Baviaanskloofberg. Spend the evening on a sundowner game drive.Days 7-8 Plettenberg Bay (B)
Visit the Tsitsikamma National Park. Next day, relax on the beach (weather permitting), or enjoy the day doing some shopping. Enjoy optional activities including abseiling, sea kayaking, mountain biking, and bungee jumping.Day 9 Karoo
Travel over the Outeniqua Mountains into the Little Karoo. In Oudtshoorn visit the Cango Caves and take an optional tour of an ostrich farm where the more adventurous can ride one of these huge birds.Day 10 Stellenbosch
Today visit Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa and enjoy a day of wine tasting.Day 11 Cape Town (B)
Drive to Cape Town, the "mother city", where you can climb Table Mountain or take the cable car. Spend the afternoon catching up on last-minute curio shopping or just lazing on the beach absorbing the Cape's sunshine.Day 12 Lambert's Bay (B)
Travel to the picturesque Lambert's Bay area. Visit the well known “Bird Island” where you can find more than 25,000 Blue-eyed Gannets (seasonal).Day 13 Gariep River (B)
Move into the more arid regions and, entering Namibia, stop at the Gariep (Orange) River.Day 14 Fish River Canyon
Journey to Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon in the world. In the afternoon, watch as a spectacular sunset slips over the canyon's rim.Day 15-16 Namib Desert (2B,2D)
Start the long journey towards Sossusvlei (a clay pan, enclosed by the world’s largest sand dunes). On the way pass some of the little towns in the Southern part of Namibia like Bethanien and Helmeringhausen. The next day enjoy a guided walk into the dunes.Day 17-18 Swakopmund (2B)
Travel through mountain passes towards Swakopmund, passing Walvisbay, the town that hosts the only deep sea harbour on the Namibian coastline.Day 19 Damaraland (B)
Head towards Khorixas. Along the way stop at Cape Cross and Twyfelfontein.Day 20-21 Etosha National Park
Depart early for Etosha National Park. Spend the days on game drives heading east.Day 22 Windhoek
Travel to Windhoek and explore the city in the afternoon.Trip Information
