Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Pretoria

Arrive in Pretoria at any time.

Day 2 Graskop (B)

Travel through a fascinating landscape complete with mountains, panoramic passes, valleys and waterfalls in beautiful forests. Keep your eyes open for some of Africa’s raptors, the crowned eagle, snake eagle, falcons and kites.

Day 3 Manyeleti Game Reserve (B,D)

Depart for the lodge in the Manyeleti. Spend the next two days in the bush viewing Africa’s "Big 5".

Day 4 Kruger National Park (B,D)

Travel to Kruger National Park for a different wildlife experience that is the best in South Africa.

Day 5-6 Praha Di’ Bilene (2B)

Head for southern Mozambique which features numerous coastal lakes and lagoons. They are shallow, with brackish water and contain a variety of freshwater fish species and over 50 reported bird species.

Day 7-8 Inhambane (2B)

Continue to enjoy the warm hospitality of the local people and taste some of the world’s best seafood.

Day 9 Maputo (B)

Arrive in Maputo and spend the day exploring the city, starting at the top of Av Samora Machel outside the impressive Cathedral of Nossa Senhora da Conceicao.

Day 10-11 Swaziland (2B,2D)

Leave Mozambique and head for Mlilwane, Swaziland’s pioneer conservation area. The southern section is predominately grassland stretching up onto the striking Nyonyane Mountain.

Day 12-13 Zululand (2B)

Journey to the beautiful Zululand area, one of South Africa’s most diverse regions. The area has the scarce suni (Livingstone’s antelope) and red duiker, the African broad bill, pink throated twinspot and the striking narina trogan as prime species.

Day 14 Durban (B)

Travel along the coast to Durban, one of South Africa's best-known and most popular coastal resorts.

Days 15-16 Drakensberg Mountains (2B)

Head towards the spectacular Drakensberg mountain range, originally referred to as the “Dragon Mountains” by the early settlers. Soak up the sun by relaxing at the hotel or try an optional excursion.

Days 17,18 Wild Coast (2B)

During the scenic drive to Haga Haga pass through Mooi River, home to several of South Africa's finest stud farms.

Day 19 Addo Elephant National Park (B)

Addo, the valley of elephants and roses lies in the Lower Sundays River Valley, stretching from the Indian Ocean to the Zuurberg Mountains. Addo is a peaceful and fertile agricultural area growing mainly citrus fruits and is renowned for its commercial rose-growing enterprise.

Day 20-21 Plettenberg Bay (2B)

Explore Tsitsikamma National Park, and the surrounding area of Plettenberg Bay. For the more adventurous, optional activities include abseiling, sea kayaking, mountain biking, and bungee jumping.

Day 22 Karoo (B)

Travel over the Outeniqua Mountains into the Little Karoo. Visit the Cango Caves and take an optional tour of an ostrich farm where one can ride one of these huge birds.

Day 23 Stellenbosch (B)

Today we visit Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa, to enjoy a day of wine tasting.

Day 24 Cape Town (B)

Drive to Cape Town, the South African "mother city". The day is yours to explore. Climb Table Mountain, relax on the cable car, or discover the city in the afternoon.
