Itinerary

Day 1 Cape Town

Where do the two oceans meet? And why is it called "the Cape of Good Hope"? Join us on a journey of discovery as we explore the splendour of the Cape Peninsula. Upon arrival into Cape Town there will be a driver waiting for you to take you the Saasveld Lodge where you will be spending the next 2 nights. Today, if you have time, enjoy a half day guided Cape Town & Table Mountain City Tour. (Cableway Ticket onto Table Mountain is NOT included as the mountain visit is weather permitting). This can also be arranged (before departure) for Day 3 if you are arriving late.SAASVELD LODGESaasveld Lodge is centrally located in the lively Kloof Street and in close proximity to restaurants, bars, coffee shops and nightclubs. The Lodge also has a restaurant on the premises for your convenience. You can experience the city on foot from Saasveld Lodge, a number of interesting tourist attractions are just a short walk away from the hotel with the V&A Waterfront only a 5 minute drive away.

Day 2 Cape Point (B)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before you are met by your guide for an inspiring half day guided tour to the towering headland known as Cape Point. We travel along the Atlantic Seabord via Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay, stopping at a Llandudno look-out point and continuing to Hout Bay. Hout Bay is truly a jewel of South Africa, it lies in a beautiful valley surrounded by majestic mountain ranges and fantastic beaches. We continue through Constantia Nek and Ou Kaapse weg to Cape Point and the Good Hope Nature Reserve. Enjoy the wide variety of bird, plant and animal life at the most southwesterly point of Africa. Breathe the freshest air in the world – straight from Antarctic. It's where the cold Benguela current on the west coast and the warm Agulhas current on the east coast merge. We will arrive in Simon’s Town in which is rich in historical significance, a pretty little seaside town with a naval base and a large penguin colony at Boulders Beach. Overnight at the Saasveld Lodge.
