Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Quito

Arrive in Quito at any time.

Day 2-4 Galapagos (3B,3L,3D)

Visit several islands during our Galapagos adventure, viewing abundant wildlife and soaking up the spectacular scenery. Each day, explore the islands on land as our expert guide interprets the natural history and explains the unique wildlife and habitat.

Day 5 Quito (B)

Visit one last island before flying to Quito. Enjoy free time to explore all the hidden gems that historical Quito has to offer.

Day 6 Quito / Lima

Fly to Lima. Flight is unescorted, not included and must be pre-booked.

Day 7 Pisco

Wake up early to explore Lima before catching a bus to Pisco. Spend a night on the town enjoying the famous local drink, the Pisco Sour.

Day 8-9 Nazca

Visit the nearby Ballestas Islands to view the area’s sea lion colonies. From Pisco, catch a bus to Nazca, stopping to check out the sand dunes of Huacachina, which you can try to carve on your sandboard. Take an optional flight over the mysterious Nazca Lines, then visit a fascinating Pre-Inca cemetery in the Nazca desert. Night bus to Arequipa.

Day 10-12 Arequipa / Colca Canyon

Peru's second largest city is surrounded by the Andes and lies in the shadow of El Misti Volcano. Two nights near the Colca Canyon allows time to acclimatize and take short hikes around one of the deepest canyons in the world. Keep an eye out and you may spot a condor soaring in front of the majestic Andes.

Day 13-15 Puno / Lake Titicaca (B,L,D)

Travel to Puno, on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Take a boat trip to visit the Uros, Amantani and Taquile islands, then immerse yourself in Peruvian rural life with a homestay in a small village before returning to Puno on Day 19.

Day 16-17 Cuzco

Enjoy spectacular views of the high Altiplano travelling from Puno to Cuzco. Friendly, colonial Cuzco offers nearby Inca ruins, cobblestone streets, museums, markets and churches.

Day 18-21 Inca Trail (3B,3L,3D)

Begin a once in a lifetime journey on the ancient trail of the Incas. Local porters and guides let you focus on the spectacular mountain scenery that fills each day. On the final day climb the steps to the Sun Gate to watch the sunrise over Machu Picchu. Return to Cuzco by train in the afternoon.

Day 22 Cuzco

Enjoy the many sites and activities of Cuzco on this free day.

Day 23-25 Amazon Jungle (2B,2L,2D)

Fly to Puerto Maldonado, deep in the Amazon. Travel by motorized canoe to our lodge in the Tambopata Rainforest Area, and explore the jungle with local guides before flying to Lima.
