Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Athens

Arrive in Athens at any time.

Day 2 Nafplio, Epidavros Ruins

A short trip to the Peloponnese region of Greece takes us to the lovely town of Nafplio, the first capital of Greece after its independence. Explore the nearby ruins of Epidavros to get your first taste of Greek history.

Day 3-4 Sparta, Mystras Ruins

Travelling south we arrive at the beautiful and easy-going town of Sparta. The following day is spent exploring the fortress and immense ruins of Mystras, located a short distance from town.

Day 5-6 Olympia

A half day travel takes us to the west coast of the Peloponnese to Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Explore the nearby ruins and immerse yourself in the fascinating history and mythology surrounding these ancient sites.

Day 7-8 Delphi

Back on the Greek mainland, Delphi is a beautiful town with very extensive and impressive archaeological remains. Perched on a cliff, it offers spectacular views over the adjacent valley and surrounding countryside.

Day 9 Athens

Take a short morning bus trip back to the bustling Greek capital city of Athens. Explore the city, old and new, get lost in the markets, visit the Acropolis and enjoy a final feast with some great wine, or maybe some Ouzo!
