Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Mexico City

Arrive in Mexico City at any time.

Day 2-17 Mexico

Begin in one of the world's largest metropolitan areas, Mexico City, and explore several not-to-be missed art and ancient artifact museums. Head south to Puebla where the street life will fill your days and nights. Visit Oaxaca for handicraft markets, the impressive Zapotec ruins of Monte Alban, the highland gem of San Cristóbal and Mayan site of Palenque in Chiapas and the famous Yucatán towns of Mérida, Cancún and Playa del Carmen, home of some of the best beaches in Mexico.

Day 18-21 Belize

Belize's famous barrier reef and Caribbean atmosphere are the pride of Caye Caulker, a top snorkelling and diving spot. The Cayo District provides us with several fascinating options for exploring the jungle wilds of Belize.

Day 22-30 Guatemala

Deep in the Guatemalan jungle lies Tikal, one of the largest excavated Mayan ruin sites in the Americas. Visit the colourful town of Flores on Lake Petén Itzá. Río Dulce, the gateway to the Guatemala's Caribbean Coast, stands in sharp contrast to the colonial highland town of Antigua, and Mayan centres of Panajachel and Chichicastenango.

Day 31-34 Honduras

Explore the superb ruins of Copán, with temples, pyramids and intricately carved statues, predating many European civilizations. Swim, dive or snorkel in the crystal blue waters, or simply relax on the island of Utila.

Day 35-40 Nicaragua

Nicaragua has flourished in recent years and boasts both incredibly friendly people as well as impressive natural beauty. Granada's colonial charm is enhanced by the nearby active volcanoes and lakes. Day trips from here are a fun and easy option. Hike, cruise, or just explore the city's markets and museums.

Day 41-49 Costa Rica

Costa Rica is a must-see for its breathtaking flora and fauna. Travel through the highland cloud forests and coastal rainforest and experience the full spectrum of the country's diverse natural highlights. Take time to bird watch, indulge in horseback riding or try mountain biking. Soak up some pure mountain air before continuing the journey southwards.

Day 50-59 Panama

A 3 million year old isthmus, Panama is a natural wonder home to more than 950 species of birds, 220 species of mammals and over 10,000 species of plants. Visit Bocas del Toro and Boquete for wildlife spotting, hiking, white water rafting, horseback riding and much more while moving to an ever-present Calypso beat. Don't forget to check out the world famous canal before ending your journey in the capital, Panama City.
