Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Vancouver
Arrive in Vancouver at any time.Day 2 Whistler
Set off early from Vancouver and take in the spectacular scenery as we travel along the "Sea to Sky Highway" towards Whistler. Stop for an included visit to the famous Capilano Suspension Bridge, one of Canada's greatest suspension footbridges.Day 3-4 Ranch Fraser / Thompson Region (1B, 2L, 2D)
Saddle up for an included horseback ride along scenic natural trails from our dude ranch in the Thomspon region. Enjoy the tranquility of the hot days and cool nights of ranch country or choose from many optional activities such as incredible hiking, canoeing or fishing. Spend nights sitting by the campfire.Day 5-6 Revelstoke (B)
Depart early for Revelstoke, passing through rolling hills, lakes and ranches, and finally climbing into the high Rocky Mountains. Learn how to Eskimo roll in an included kayak lesson and enjoy the hospitality of this quintessential Rockies town. Optional activities abound here, try anything from the Revelstoke Dam Interpretive Center to rafting on the glacial fed Columbia River or hair-raising Kicking Horse River.Day 7-8 Kootenay Mountains (1B, 2L, 2D)
Today we cross stunning Roger’s Pass in Glacier National Park and stop for an included visit to the exciting Wolf Wildlife Conservation Project where you can take an optional walk with the wolves. Continuing on we descend through the mountains to Kootenay National Park, arriving at our secluded mountain lodge in time for a walk or soak in a wood-fired hot tub. Nights are spent sleeping in a traditional, comfortable Teepee. Days are yours to plan with unlimited hiking and certified mountain guides included in your stay. Food at the lodge is also a highlight - you won't go hungry! Possible First Nation activities such as a traditional “sweat lodge” or “drumming circle” may be available.Day 9-10 Jasper (B)
Early departure from the Kootenays for the breathtaking trip up the Icefields Parkway. Spotting wildlife on the journey is common, including bear, mountain goats, elk and deer. Stop at Lake Louise, Peyto Lake and Athabasca Glacier along the way, passing through some of the most dramatic scenery in North America. From Jasper National Park, explore the many optional activities including tramways, hikes, trail rides and biking. Soak up soothing mineral-rich waters with an included visit to Miette Hot Springs, hidden in Fiddle Valley.Day 11-12 Banff
Cross into Banff National Park and over the Continental Divide. Explore the town, go hiking on the many local trails or visit the hot springs. Reach the summit of Sulphur Mountain with an included gondola ride to an elevation of 2281 metres.Day 13 Calgary
Watch for Canadian wildlife as we journey through the spectacular Rocky Mountains for the last part of the trip. Stopping at a world famous Ranch for an optional horse back ride or try your balance at the amazing Adventure Ropes through the Kananaskis forest.Trip Details
