Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Lima

Arrive in Lima at any time.

Day 2 Pisco

Explore Lima before heading to Pisco, renowned for its local drink, the Pisco Sour. Sample Peruvian food and drinks.

Day 3-4 Nazca

Visit the nearby Ballestas Islands to view sea lion colonies and abundant bird life before travelling to Nazca, stopping at the sand dunes of Huacachina for a chance to try sandboarding. Take an optional flight over the mysterious Nazca Lines, and visit a Pre-Inca cemetery. Night bus to Arequipa.

Day 5-7 Arequipa / Colca Canyon

Travel from Arequipa, in the shadow of El Misti Volcano, to the hot thermal baths of Chivay. Acclimatize and take short hikes around one of the deepest canyons in the world. Watch for Condors soaring through the majestic Andes.

Day 8-10 Puno / Lake Titicaca (L, D, B)

Travel to the town of Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Take a boat trip to the Uros, Amantani and Taquile Islands, then immerse yourself in Peruvian rural life with a homestay in a small village. Return to Puno on Day 10.

Day 11-12 Cuzco

Enjoy spectacular views travelling through the high Altiplano to Cuzco. Friendly, colonial Cuzco offers nearby Inca ruins, cobblestone streets, museums, markets and churches.

Day 13-15 Lares Trek (3B, 3L, 3D)

Travel through the Sacred Valley. Spend the morning in Qeshwarani. Continue through the valley and arrive at the indigenous community of Cuncani. Cross the challenging 4440m Condor Pass, with stunning views of Mount Veronica (5750m,) then descend to beautiful Ipsaycocha Lake, our last campsite. On the last day, follow trek downhill past lookouts of Patacancha. Take the train to Aguas Calientes, where we spend the night.

Day 16 Machu Picchu / Cuzco

Catch an early morning bus to Machu Picchu for an early morning view of the lost city of the Incas. Enjoy a guided tour and free time in the ruins before catching a train back to Cuzco.

Day 17 Cuzco

Enjoy the many sites and activities of Cuzco on this free day.

Day 18-20 Amazon Jungle (2B, 2L, 2D)

Fly to Puerto Maldonado, in the Amazon lowlands. Travel by motorized canoe to our lodge in the Tambopata rainforest. Explore the jungle with local guides before flying to Lima.
