Itinerary
Day 1 Lima
Arrive in Lima at any time.Day 2-3 Cuzco
Take an early flight to Cuzco, meet your local guide and transfer to the hotel. Explore the sights and sounds of Cuzco as it gears up for the Festival of the Sun.Day 4-5 Sacred Valley / Ollantaytambo / Machu Picchu
Travel with your guide through the Sacred Valley, including the picturesque town and Inca ruins of Ollantaytambo. Take the train through the spectacular Urubamba Valley to the village of Aguas Calientes. From here continue to the historic spiritual centre of the Incas, the "Lost City" of Machu Picchu.Day 6 Inti Raymi / Cuzco (L)
Take part in the most important Inca celebration of the year, Inti Raymi, and witness age-old Incan traditions that are alive and well today.Day 7-11 Choquequirao (4B, 5L, 4D)
Built atop a mountain, high in the Andes, the lost city of Choquequirao is comparable only to Machu Picchu in its beauty, grandeur and architectural astonishment. Our local porters and guides will take care of us for the duration of the hike and while camping in the Andes. This ancient Inca trail provides us with breathtaking views at every step.Day 12 Cuzco
Relax or explore the city or nearby spiritual sites of Sacsayhuaman and Tambo Machay. Rafting, horseback riding and mountain biking are all possible options.Trip Details
