Itinerary
Days 1-3 Ravello/Atrani to Amalfi
Take the circular walk from Ravello down an ancient trail to the whitewashed fishing village of Atrani. Head onwards through hamlets, meadows, shady woods and past waterfalls to the historic town of Amalfi. Once a major sea power rivalling Genoa and Venice, Amalfi today is a popular seaside playground. Its medieval architecture, sea views and local crafts are justly renowned.Day 4 Amalfi to Conca dei Marini
Enjoy free time to explore Amalfi further then follow the Maestro dei Villaggi, or Master of the Villages, past the Santa Rosa monastery to the picturesque port of Conca dei Marini. Perhaps discover the Grotta dello Smeraldo - named after its emerald-coloured glow.Day 5 Conca dei Marini to Vettica Maggiore
Take a scenic footpath past churches, olive groves and gorgeous views down to the narrow fjord of Furore with its unusual houses that have been built into the surrounding rock face. Descend by the footpath known as the Via dell'Amore to the San Gennaro church at the centre of the Vettica Maggiore fishing village.Days 6-8 Vettica Maggiore to Positano
Hike up the Via Croce to San Domenico and join the Footpath of the Gods high above the waters of the Mediterranean. Descend towards the brightly coloured houses of Positano. The following day is free to enjoy the stunning scenery and cafe culture of this picturesque town. A visit to the Chiesa di Santa Assunta is also highly recommended.Trip Details
