Travel the length of Vietnam from Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) in the south, to Hanoi in the north, exploring the beaches and small towns of the central coast in between. The trip begins in the bustling metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City where we discover the city highlights and Cu Chi tunnels. We then fly to Central Vietnam to the magical ancient merchant town of Hoi An – a UNESCO world heritage site. Here you can enjoy market shopping, pristine beaches and contemporary cuisine, gaining a unique insight into the amazing flavours with a traditional Vietnamese cooking class. A beautiful coastal drive takes us to the former royal capital of Hue. This historical hotspot boasts some of Asia’s greatest living museums. We fly to Hanoi, and then continue on to Halong Bay where thousands of limestone rock sculptures jut dramatically from the sea. Here we overnight on a traditional junk (boat), with time for swimming and kayaking. Back in Hanoi we include a city tour, and a cyclo tour through the fascinating Old Quarter.
