Combining Greece with Italy, this tour takes you from Rome via the Amalfi coast, before crossing the Adriatic to reach Athens. Weave your way through picturesque villages on the Amalfi coast and take a trip to the elegant island of Capri. On the way to Bari stop to see Pompeii, the city that was destroyed by Vesuvius 2000 years ago, and as we cross the Adriatic Sea, you arrive in Greece. The first stop will reveal the extraordinary landscape of Meteora, then from Athens it’s a short ferry ride to Crete, where you can trek through Europe’s longest gorge, the Samarian gorge, and swim in the crystal clear warm waters of the Libyan sea. Santorini is the next destination - don’t miss the walk along the caldera (rim of the volcano) to reach Oia, where the famed sunsets are seen. Finally stop at the largest of the Cyclades, where you trek through some of the more remote yet scenic parts of the island, experiencing quiet traditional villages and mythological locations.
