Itinerary
Day 1 Lima
Arrive in Lima. You'll be met at the airport and taken to your Lima hotel.Day 2 Lima
Delve into Peru’s mysterious past as we visit the Museo de la Nacion, the country’s premiere archaeological museum. Afterwards it’s off to the desert to tour the ancient city of Pachacamac.Day 3 Lima
Travel north to Caral for our tour of Peru’s oldest city in Supe River Valley. Considered older than the Great Pyramid of Khufu in Egypt, the ruins reveal pyramid temples, sunken plazas, housing complexes and an amphitheatre. Return to Lima for overnight.Day 4 Lima/Nazca
A road trip takes you down the coast through the desert to the resort village of Paracas. We embark on a boat tour to the Ballestas Islands to view sea lion colonies, penguins and other bird life. Continue to Nazca for an overnight stay. This region is considered one of the driest places on earth.Day 5 Nazca
This morning we have an included flight over the 2,000-year-old Nazca Lines, a mystery that continues to baffle and amaze the world. Nobody knows who made these marks or why. Later, we visit an ancient Nazca Indian cemetery and learn how this archeological site contains ancient mummies in their original graves along with their artifacts. Drop by a Nazca ceramic workshop and learn about their pottery.Day 6 Nazca/Lima
Tour the ancient Aqueducts of Cantayoc in the morning then return to Lima for an overnight stay.Day 7 Lima
You'll be picked up at your hotel for your airport transfer.Trip Details
