Itinerary
Day 1 Cusco/Manu Wildlife Center
Arrive to Boca Manu by plane then a motorized canoe to ride down the Madre de Dios River. Surrounded by jungle, the Manu Wildlife Center is home to a variety of indigenous flora and fauna, making it an eco-traveller’s dream. Spend the afternoon exploring the trails around the lodge. Playful monkeys like the monk saki and emperor tamarin inhabit this rainforest. In the evening wildlife excursions continue.Day 2 Manu Wildlife Center
This morning sail to a spectacular parrot and macaw sanctuary. After lunch, take a guided hiking tour that includes a bird’s eye view from a 34-meter observation platform. Later, visit the Amazon’s largest known tapir clay lick.Day 3 Manu Wildlife Center
Visit Blanco Oxbow Lake. Highlights include aquatic life, birds, the hoatzin and otters. The afternoon is at leisure. In the evening, by boat search for caiman and other nocturnal life.Day 4 Manu Wildlife Center
Early morning canoe ride to visit Camungo Oxbow Lake. Explore the forest and a 40 meter canopy platform. Lots of chances to see wildlife and fauna.Day 5 Manu/Cusco
Return to the Manu landing strip by motorized canoe and travel by plane to Cuzco.Trip Details
