Volunteers with medical experience can get involved in health in Honduras and a variety of activities at this small hospital in La Esperanza. Utilise your skills by helping with general medical assistance in the pharmacy, blood bank or pre-natal care unit. Your expertise will also be put to use in the emergency room or operating rooms. If you are able to cope in stressful situations, this highly worthwhile health work experience in La Esperanza project is a good way for you to contribute your knowledge and expertise.There is currently a need for volunteers with a nutritionist background/skills. | Accomodation | Accommodation is included in your project fee. Comfortable homestay near your project, with private bedroom. |
| Meals | Two meals a day are included in your project fee. Simple but nutritious breakfasts and dinners will be provided. Vegetarians are welcome. |
| Activities | General medical activities, helping with administration and hospital management. |
| Schedule | Working hours vary but generally 7.00am until 4.00pm.Please note: Semana Santa (Latin America Holy week) will be from 1st to 8th April 2007 and 16th to 23rd March 2008, you may have some disruptions to the placement during this time. |
