Itinerary

Day 1 Lima

Arrive in Lima and transfer to your hotel for overnight.

Day 2 Cuzco

Fly to Cuzco where you'll be met at the airport and taken to your Cuzco hotel. You'll have time to leisurely walk around this evening.

Day 3 Cuzco

Today you have the choice of optional tours to sites, museums, markets or drop by the famous Inca ruins, many of which are located on the city’s outskirts.

Day 4 Sacred Valley

With a local guide travel through the Sacred Valley and visit the Pisac ruins. Another stop is Ollantaytambo, a picturesque town home to a splendid massive fortress that rises atop a steep terrace. In this verdant valley overlooking the winding Urubamba River, visitors will overnight in an intimate setting under a starry Andean sky.

Day 5-8 Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

A morning trip to km 82 begins a once in a lifetime journey on the ancient trail of the Incas. Local porters and guides ensure that the trip is worry-free. Fascinating ruins and spectacular mountain scenery fill every day of the hike. On the final day, climb the steps to Intipunku, the "Sun Gate," and watch the sunrise over Machu Picchu. Return to Cuzco by train.
