Itinerary
Day 1 Puerto Maldonado/Libertador Tambopata Lodge
On arrival in Puerto Maldonado, you'll be met and transferred to the Tambopata Lodge. The sights and sounds of the jungle will fascinate you - there are many different species of of flora and fauna to be seen!Day 2 Libertador Tambopata Lodge
This morning it’s off to the “collpa” known as the Macaw Clay Lick. Board a canoe and journey deep into the National Reserve, home to one of the largest clay licks in the world. Tonight you have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to camp in the jungle near this awesome geological feature.Day 3 Libertador Tambopata Lodge
An early morning departure allows for the best bird spotting along the clay lick as you return to the lodge. Beneath a starry night around the Amazon Basin prepare for an out-of-this-world experience as you embark on a nocturnal wildlife tour by canoe along the Tambopata River.Day 4 Puerto Maldonado
After enjoying a magnificent sunrise, return by canoe to Puerto Maldonado for your flight to either Lima or Cuzco.Trip Details
