Itinerary

Day 1 Belize City/Cayo

Arrive in Belize City and transfer to your hotel in the Cayo area.

Day 2 Cayo

Visit the Chiquibul Forest Reserve, home to the Mayan site of Caracol. In the afternoon explore the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve with stops at the Rio Frio Caves and the Rio On Pools Waterfalls.

Day 3 Cayo

This full-day guided trek into the Rainforest Medicine Trails will reveal the important medicinal uses of plants. Continue the hike to the enormous Mayan pottery site of the Che Chem Ha Caves.

Day 4 Cayo

Visit the ancient city of Xunantunich and climb the Castillo for panoramic views of the Cayo District and nearby Guatemala. Later tour the Barton Creek Cave by canoe and view stalactites and stalagmites.

Day 5 Belize City

Travel by land with a stop at Inland Blue Hole and continue to Gales Point Manatee for your transfer to Belize City.

Day 6 Belize City

This morning board a riverboat and sail New River until you reach the New River Lagoon where the ruins of Lamanai rise into view. Tour the rainforest site and listen to the chatter of birdlife and the haunting call of the Howler Monkeys.

Day 7 Belize City

Enjoy a motorboat ride to the nearby Manatee breeding grounds then it’s off to Goff’s Caye, a small island perched along Belize’s Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy snorkelling, swimming or relaxing under a palm tree.

Day 8 Belize City

Enjoy the morning at leisure and later depart to the airport.
