Itinerary
Day 1 Lima
When you arrive in Lima, you'll be met at the airport and taken to your hotel.Day 2-3 Cuzco
Take an early morning flight to Cuzco. Relax on arrival and allow yourself to acclimatize for the next two days.Day 4 Cuzco/Soraypampa
You'll be picked up early from your Cuzco hotel. Head straight to the Salkantay Lodge through some of the world's most amazing scenery. Perhaps even take an optional hike through some impressive Inca ruins?Day 5 Soraypampa
Today is a leisure day for you to acclimatize to the altitude. There are many activities available at the lodge.Day 6 Soraypampa/Huayraccmachay
Today you get an early start for your hike towards Machu Picchu through the Rio Blanco Valley, with breathtaking views of the Vilcabamba Range and Salkantay Mountain. You'll stop at the Wayra Lodge for the evening.Day 7 Huayraccmachay/Collpapampa
Today the trek resumes with a downhill route through the lush greenery. Stop at the Collpa Lodge for the night.Day 8 Collpapampa/Lucmabamba
Head through the Santa Teresa River Valley today, eventually reaching Lucma Lodge, set in an avocado orchard.Day 9 Lucmabamba/Aguas Calientes
After an early start, reach Llactapata pass for a distant but quite special view of Machu Picchu from the southwest. Then begin the final descent to the Vilcanota River. Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu are a short, scenic train ride away.Day 10 Machu Picchu/Cuzco
Today have an early start for the short ride up to Machu Picchu, where you will have a fully guided tour and plenty of time to explore on your own before heading back to Cuzco for the night.Day 11 Cuzco
