Itinerary
Day 1 Lima
Arrive in Lima where you are met by our representative and transferred to the Miraflores Park hotel for overnight.Day 2-3 Cuzco
Depart by plane to this jewel in the sky. Rising 3400 metres, Cuzco is revered as the ancient capital of Peru. Nestled in a valley amid soaring mountains Cuzco overlooks a vast network of Inca roads, leading to important archeological sites and fortresses. Enjoy the next 2 nights at the Monesterrio Hotel and spend your days at leisure. Optional activities include colonial sites, museums, and markets or venture to nearby Sacsayhuaman considered a great temple sanctuary to the sun.Day 4-5 Aguas Calientes
It’s all aboard the Orient Express train as it weaves through the ancient land of the Incas. The luxury train named after the explorer Hiram Bingham who discovered Machu Picchu in 1911 travels by some awesome scenery forging past brilliant monuments and picturesque Andean villages. The train stops in Aguas Calientes where you will be brought to The Sanctuary Lodge Hotel and will then receive your guided tour of Machu Picchu. Day 5 is a free day. Return for another look at the magical site or relax in the towns thermal baths until it is time to catch the train back to Cusco.Day 6 Cuzco
