Itinerary
Day 1 Lima
Arrive in Lima where you are met by our representative and taken to your hotel for overnight in Lima.Day 2-3 Cuzco
Take an early morning flight to Cuzco, where there will be time for optional sightseeing at leisure to visit museums, colourful markets and churches. On the city outskirts, take an optional visit to the temple sanctuary to the sun, Sacsayhuaman. This sacred structure is used during the winter solstice celebration of Inti Raymi.Day 4 Cuzco
This morning, visit a community service project (supported by G.A.P Adventures) and hear some heartwarming stories from the people who help to improve the lives of homeless children in Cuzco. This afternoon is at leisure.Day 5 Sacred Valley
Travel with a local guide through the Sacred Valley including the picturesque town and Inca ruins of Ollantaytambo and Pisac. Overnight in the Sacred Valley.Day 6 Aguas Calientes
Ride a morning train through the Urubamba Valley and disembark at the hot springs village of Aguas Calientes for some free time. This evening, partake in another popular activity: coca leaf readings conducted by a master shaman.Day 7 Cuzco
We rise early to visit the lost city of the Incas, the ancient spiritual centre of Peru. A shaman will provide a detailed interpretive tour of Machu Picchu that concludes with a special ceremony to Mother Earth. Then head back to Cuzco.Day 8 Cuzco
