Itinerary

Day 1 Guatemala/Flores

Fly to the charming and historic island town of Flores found on Lake Peten Itza. This colourful village is known as the gateway to Guatemala’s Caribbean Coast. Your representative will transfer you to the Mayan Biosphere Reserve, the Tikal National Park. Deep in the heart of Guatemala’s northern jungle stands one of the major sites of Mayan civilization Tikal. Inhabited from the 6th century B.C. to the 10th century A.D., there are over 3,000 structures dotting this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lose yourself in the endless and fascinating mazes as you wander through the abandoned city, marvelling at this extraordinary ancient civilization. Everywhere you turn, you’ll uncover ruins hidden in the dense jungle growth.

Day 2 Guatemala

Transfer to the airport for your return flight to Guatemala City. The bustling capital holds many photo opportunities as you watch busloads chug through the narrow streets and vendors on every corner. If time permits visit Zona 1 near the Plaza Mayor for viewing magnificent architectural landmarks.
