Itinerary
Day 1 Guatemala/Flores
Deep in the heart of the jungle lies one of the major sites of Mayan civilization, Tikal inhabited from the 6th century B.C. to the 10th century A.D. With over 3,000 structures this UNESCO World Heritage Site is ready for you to explore. Lose yourself in the endless and fascinating mazes as you wander through this enormous abandoned city. Everywhere you turn, you’ll uncover ruins hidden in the dense jungle growth.Day 2 Guatemala
Travel to the ancient Mayan lagoon city of Yaxha. The Yaxhá Archaeological site situated in northern Guatemala houses extraordinary ruins and makes for a fabulous day-trip. The lofty pyramids and temples were even used as a backdrop in the reality television show “Survivor.” This archaeological site has over 500 structures that include nine acropolises. Ascend a pyramid and admire the views. You can see the lush bio-diverse Yaxha Lagoon and the three islands of Cante, Paxte and Topoxte.Day 3 Guatemala
