Arrive in Mexico City.Day 2 Mexico City
This megatropolis capital is home to an endless list of cultural wonders, the best anthropology museum for Mexican archaeology, the largest plaza the zocalo, and Aztec historical sites. Visit the Teotihuacan ruins, site of the awesome Pyramids of the Sun and Moon on your city tour.Day 3 Mexico City/Morelia/Patzcuaro
Journey by bus to the colonial city of Morelia for a guided city tour then continue to view the impressive Patzcuaro Lake.Day 4 Patzcuaro/Guadalajara
Take a boat cruise to colourful Janitzio Island then later embark on a bus tour to Guadalajara.Day 5 Guadalajara/Guanajuato
A pure “Mexican” city, Guadalajara is the birthplace of mariachi music, tequila and sombreros. Visit the Hacienda San Jose del Refugio in the famous Tequila region then continue to the handicraft village of Tlaquepaque. Check in to your hotel at Guanajuato.Day 6 Guanajuato/San Miguel de Allende
Home to 40 per cent of the world’s silver mines for nearly two centuries, Guanajuato is now an opulent Spanish colonial city that stands as a living monument to a prosperous and turbulent past. Enjoy a city tour of this charming colonial town and artist haven. Explore the markets brimming with the finest local handicrafts in the country. Later depart for Queretaro an exquisitely preserved Spanish colonial town. Return to Mexico City.Day 8 Mexico City
