Day 1 Mexico City
Arrive in Mexico City.Day 2 Mexico City
This multilayered megacity is home to an endless list of cultural wonders, the Zona Rosa, Aztec historical sites and a vibrant street life. Visit the Teotihuacan ruins, site of the breathtaking Pyramids of the Sun and Moon.Day 3 Mexico City/Chihuahua
Transfer to the airport and fly to the colonial town of Chihuahua (flights are not included, please ask).Day 4 Chihuahua/Creel
Chihuahua known as Mexico’s cowboy country is the start to your legendary rail journey through the magnificent Copper Canyon. Board the Chihuahua al Pacífico Railroad as it winds its way to the highest point of the line at Creel near the top of the Sierra Madres rising 2,400 metres. Head to your hotel. Afternoon is at leisure.Day 5 Creel/Posada Barrancas
Home to the Tarahumara Indians, Creel is a prosperous lumber town. Enjoy the morning at leisure. It’s recommended you visit Arareko Lake, Tarahumara Caves and the San Ignacio Mission. Then it’s off to the train station for your rail journey to Posada Barrancas.Day 6 Posada Barrancas/Cerocahui
Enjoy the morning at leisure for optional excursions. Travel to the train station and ride to Bahuichivo, before heading to your hotel in Cerocahui.Day 7 Cerocahui/El Fuerte
Spend free time enjoying the magnificent sights. Board the train for your last stop to El Fuerte, Spanish for “The Fort.” The cobbled streets and colonial buildings surrounding the plaza make this the perfect town to end your unforgettable train journey.Day 8 El Fuerte/Los Mochis
