Itinerary

Day 1 San José / Tortuguero National Park

Transfer early from your hotel in San José to the Tortuguero National Park by road and boat. Visitors regularly see monkeys, small crocodiles, sloths, iguanas, toucans and many other species. Tortuguero beaches are famous because of the giant Green Turtles, which nest their eggs in the Caribbean sand (July through September).

Day 2 Tortuguero National Park

The wildlife that calls this area home is simply astounding-you often don't need to look for it, it comes to you! Enjoy an afternoon hike through Tortuguero National Park Park, then spend some time relaxing at the lodge. Take an optional night excursion to see the nesting of the giant turtles (seasonal July–September).

Day 3 Depart Tortuguero National Park / San José

Head back to San José after breakfast.
