Itinerary
Days 1-3 Santiago
Visit Cerro San Cristobal to see the huge Virgin de la Immaculada Concepcion up close. The funicular railway is the easiest way to the top. Then, take a walk through the gardens and enjoy the panoramic views.Days 4-6 Pucon
The black sand beaches of Lago Villarrica beckon on this stop in the Chilean lake district, however the real attraction is the myriad adventure sports available.Days 7-8 Puerto Varas
Snow-capped mountains, deep blue lakes, smoking volcanoes, forests and glaciers make up the scenery around Puerto Varas on the shores of Lago Llanquihue. Chilling-out is the order of the day or take a day tour to Chiloe Island on the lake.Days 9-11 Bariloche
Travel through the Andes and into this beautiful lake district, with its many great hotels, restaurants and chocolate shops among the little chalets and wooden buildings. There are lots of hiking options in the nearby national park, boat trips on the lake, skiing in the winter, swimming in the summer - and plenty of free time to enjoy it all.Days 12-13 Buenos Aires
Wander the cobblestone streets of Buenos Aires, talk football in a local cafe or visit the quirky Museo Evita to make up your mind about Eva Peron: saint or tyrant? The hippest spot in town is the Plaza Serrano, so head here in the evenings to soak up the party atmosphere. Seek out a milonga to experience the fiery tango and brush up on your Latin grooves.Trip Information
