Itinerary

Day 1-5, Seattle, British Columbia, Prince George & Hyder

Northwards from Seattle into Canada and our first stop - Vancouver. Follow the Fraser River Canyon to the Thompson River for an exhilarating whitewater rafting trip. We drive through ancient Native lands before descending the glacier-shrouded Stewart Canyon, and get "Hyderized" in Alaska's southern most city.Accommodation: Camping included

Day 6-9, Cassier Highway & Whitehorse

We continue heading north on the dirt and gravel Cassiar Highway. This logging road passes through lush green mountain scenery to the lakeside campground at Moose Meadows. Take a wilderness canoe trip on Cotton Lake or hike the local trails. North to the frontier town of Whitehorse - old time music halls and taverns, relics of the goldrush on the Yukon River.Accommodation: Camping included

Day 10-12, Dawson City & Tangle Lakes

In Dawson City, gamble at Diamond Tooth Gertie's, pan for gold at Bonanza Mine or watch the sunset from Midnight Dome. After exploring this vast wilderness, we make our camp next to one of the many kettle lakes in this region.Accommodation: Camping included

Day 13-15, Denali National Park

Travel the lone road in this awe-inspiring national park on two full day scenic bus rides to endless views and hiking opportunities. Experience this pristine preserve with its ancient residents (moose, caribou, fox, and of course, grizzly bear) and hike in the shadows of Mt. McKinley (North America's highest mountain at 20,320 ft). This national park will quickly show you why it has a reputation throughout the world.Accommodation: Camping included

Day 16-18, Kenai Peninsula & Anchorage

South to Anchorage and the pristine beauty of the Kenai Peninsula - an endless bounty of breathtaking scenery: view the powder-blue icebergs of Portage Lake; hike to the base of a glacier; experience the spectacular boat ride down to the sea, and observe more marine mammals and birdlife than you can imagine.Accommodation: Camping included

Day 19-21, Alaska Range & Wrangell St Elias

Pass Matanuska Glacier heading into the valley of the Copper River for a close-up look at the lofty, snow-covered peaks of the Wrangell Mountains, part of America's largest national park, Wrangell-St. Elias. While in this area, you will have time for a guided glacier hike or to try ice-climbing on the nearby Kennicott glacier.Accommodation: Camping included

Day 22-23, Tok & Kluane National Park

On via Tok to the wildly beautiful Kluane National Park and the historic town of Skagway.Accommodation: Camping included

Day 24-28, Inside Passage Cruise Skagway - Seattle

Our adventure concludes with the unforgettable four day Cruise Ferry through the famous Inside Passage where wildlife - bald eagles, whales, sea lions - live in balance with nature amidst the unspoilt and unforgettable wilderness of coastal Alaska and British Columbia. This area is one of the most dramatic location in North America with breathtaking views of glaciers and sheer granite walls rising 3000 feet out of the waters.Accommodation: Heated solarium camping included.Tour ends at 18:00 hrs in Seattle on day 28.
