Day 1-2, New York & Washington DC

Departing from New York City, travel to the Nation's Capital, Washington DC, for a perfect introduction to the cultural and political history of the United States. Our illuminated tour of the spectacular monuments offers a great overview to the highlights of this area. Day 3-6, Virginia, Nashville & Memphis

Next, venture through the Appalachian Mountains to the center of American country music in Nashville, Tennessee. Learn to country dance, walk the riverfront or shop at the many stores downtown. A short distance away Elvis' home town, Memphis. Day 7-8, New Orleans

Then to New Orleans with all it's charm and character. Ride a steamboat on the Mississippi River, sample Cajun food, relax to the sounds of a Jazz or Dixieland band in the French Quarter and join the ongoing party on Bourbon Street. New Orleans has more than just food, drink and music to offer. Day 9-11, Texas & Carlsbad Caverns

Journey west through Texas and a stop in youthful Austin. From hiking and biking to outdoor festivals and endless shopping, this city is packed with "Texas sized" excitement! Day 12-14, Sante Fe & Monument Valley

Next, spend two nights in America's oldest capital city, Santa Fe. Walk through the town square and admire the unique influences that the Native Americans have had on this region. Venturing further into the desert southwest we explore Monument Valley, home of the Navajo Indians where massive buttes, mesas and breathtaking sunrises can be viewed. Day 15-16, Grand Canyon Region

Off to the Grand Canyon National Park, where unfortunately (or fortunately) no photograph or description can prepare you for the inconceivable expanse of space, colour and bewildering shapes you will witness. Day 17-18, Las Vegas

Back to the modern world with a bang - Las Vegas - the greatest show on earth! Cruise "The Strip" in a super-stretch limo, indulge in an all-you-can eat buffet, take in a show or just watch the amazing crowds, neon signs and attractions that many hotel casinos have to offer. Day 19-21, San Diego & Los Angeles
