Day 1 Arrive Mumbai

Arrive in Mumbai at any time.

Day 2 Mumbai

Mumbai is the most happening cosmopolitian city of India - lively, young and it never sleeps. Discover why this is the financial and entertainment capital of India. Visit Elephanta Island, which contains a fine cluster of 6th-8th century rock cut caves.

Day 3-4 Aurangabad / Ajanta and Ellora Caves

Aurangabad is the main hub for visiting the World Heritage Ajanta and Ellora caves. These caves were built during the 3rd and 7th centuries and contain Buddhist, Jain and Hindu temples.

Day 5-6 Ganesh Chaturthi Festival Mumbai

Dedicated to the elephant-headed god Lord Ganesh (the son of Shiva), the most beloved and benevolent of Hindu gods, Ganesh Chaturthi, Ganesha's birthday, is the spectacular end to several days celebration. On the final day, large models of Lord Ganesha are carried through the streets before being taken and immersed into the Arabian Sea. This immersion is accompanied by drumbeats, devotional songs and dancing.
