Day 1 Arrive Pretoria
Arrive in Pretoria at any time.Day 2-3 Sabie (Mpumalanga) (2B)
Head east through the highveld (high plateau) through to cool, fresh climate of Mpumalanga province. With pine and eucalyptus trees covering the edge of the Drakensberg escarpement, Sabie makes a great base for your first two days of this active trip. Hike or mountain bike in the lush hills around Sabie, and enjoy a half-day river rafting trip on the Sabie River.Day 4-5 Fanie Botha Hiking Trail (2B,2L,2D)
Get out the hiking boots, and embark into the Fanie Botha Hiking Trail for a 3-day trek through the stunning natural environment of the region. Explore plantations, jump over streams, swim in natural pools, and awe at the areas beautiful waterfalls.Day 6-7 Kruger National Park (2B,2D)
Continue hiking along the Fanie Boths Hiking Trail, finishing roughly midday at the Ceylon Forest Station. It is a short drive into the famed Kruger National Park. Take an optional open-vehicle game drive in search of Africa's "Big 5" - leopard, lion, buffalo, rhino, and elephant, and don't miss the bush walk in the wild.Day 8 Hectorspruit / Komatipoort Area (B,D)
Just of south Kruger National Park, a private game farm is our base for today's open-vehicle game drive spotting elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, hippo and more.Day 9-10 Swaziland (2B,L)
Enjoy a scenic morning bike ride in Komatipoort, before continuing on to the culturally homogenous nation-state of Swaziland. The southern section is covered by open grassland, which stretches up onto the striking Lebombo Mountains. Hike in the Malalotja Nature Reserve, mountain bike through the unspoiled wilderness, and canoe on Komati River, where you'll enjoy a picnic lunch with breathtaking panoramic views.Day 11 Hluhulwe (B,D)
Travel down into Zululand towards the Indian Ocean coast to the area also know as St. Lucia. With phenomenal birdlife, this is one of the most diverse areas of South Africa. Discover the region on foot, and hop on a bike for further adventure.Day 12-13 Drakensberg (2B,L,2D)
Head towards the spectacular Drakensberg mountain range, originally referred to as the Dragon Mountains by the early settlers. Enjoy a final day active adventure on the great trail network in the spectacular Royal Natal National Park, a truly breathtaking region of mountains, cliffs, forest, and waterfalls.Day 14 Pretoria (B)
Pretoria, as the administrative capital of South Africa and the third largest city, makes a great location to spend the final evening of your trip.Trip Information
