Day 1 Arrive Kampala
Arrive in Kampala at any timeDay 2 Jinja (B,L,D)
Today we travel to Jinja situated on the north shore of lake Victoria, which is renowned as the “Source of the Nile”. In the afternoon, explore Jinja's bustling market and visit the beautiful Bujagali Falls.Days 3-7 Community Volunteer Project (5B,5L,5D)
Spend five days volunteering in the community of Jinja by participating in a hands-on project to improve the lives and education of children in this rural community. Volunteers spend time interacting with the children and may assist with the building and refurbishment of schools and orphanages. No experience needed.Days 8-9 Lake Victoria (2B,2L,2D)
We travel to Lake Victoria, the second largest fresh water lake in the world. Spend time exploring one of 62 islands which make up this archipelago with time to relax and explore the island's beaches and forests.Day 10 Queen Elizabeth National Park (B,L,D)
En route to Queen Elizabeth National Park we visit the royal drum makers who will demonstrate their centuries-old craft and stop at a monument which marks our crossing of the equator.Days 11-12 Queen Elizabeth National Park (2B,2L,2D)
Queen Elizabeth National Park, also referred to as 'the Pearl of Africa' has one of the highest biodiversity ratings in the world with almost 100 types of mammals and 606 species of birds. Spend two days exploring this park with game drives, a boat cruise on the famous Kazinga Channel and tracking chimpanzees in the Kyambura Gorge.Days 13-14 Lake Mburo National Park (2B,2L,2D)
Enjoy a walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park which is the best place in Uganda to see the gigantic eland antelope and zebras. We spend one night camping on the shores of a lake that attracts hippos, crocodiles and a variety of waterbirds. In the afternoon of Day 14 we travel to Kampala.Trip Information
