Day 1 Arrive Pisa

Arrive in Pisa at any time.

Day 2 Castelnuovo di Garfagnana (B,D)

Say goodbye to Pisa and make your way to the city of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore the many sites and monuments.

Day 3 Castelnuovo di Garfagnana Orecchiella Nature Reserve (B,L,D)

Discover the Orecchiella Nature Reserve. This reserve is located in the Tosco-Emiliano National Park in the Apennine mountain range. Enjoy the glorious mountain air on an enjoyable naturalist led hike.

Day 4 San Romano di Garfagnana/Verrucole Fortress (B,L,D)

Step back in time and wander the cobble-stoned streets of this medieval town. Make sure to explore the Duomo and hike to the Fortress of Verrucole for a picturesque picnic lunch.

Day 5 Lucca (B,L,D)

Visit a local Tuscan winery and savour a typical Tuscan lunch prepared with only local ingredients.

Day 6 Grotta del Vento (B,D)

The Grotta del Vento caves have to be experienced to be believed. Shimmy along narrow passages suspended over a seemingly bottomless abyss and admire the amazing natural architecture.

Day 7 Monte Forato (B,L,D)

After a hearty breakfast, hike to Monte Forato, a spectacle known for its unique beauty and grandeur. Enjoy the panoramic views of Pania della Croce and Pania Secca.

Day 8 Castelnuovo di Garfagnana (B,D)

A free day to explore Castelnuovo di Garfagnana at your leisure. We highly recommend a visit to the ancient retreat of princes and poets - the thermal spas of Bagni di Lucca.
