Day 1 Arrive Antigua

Arrive in Antigua at any time.

Day 2-4 Chichicastenango/Lake Atitlan

A visit to Guatemala would not be complete without the chance to visit to the famous market of Chichicastenango. After bargaining over beautiful textiles, travel to the shores of Guatemala’s Lake Atitlán. Three nights in the town of Panajachel provide an excellent base to explore this fascinating region where you can admire some of the villages of Lake Atitlan on an included boat tour.

Day 5-9 Antigua

This UNESCO-designated World Heritage site was once the seat of the Spanish colonial government. When we arrive, Holy Week will be in full swing. In between observing these many ceremonies, you can choose to climb nearby Pacaya Volcano, mountain bike through the countryside or just relax in a pleasant street side café. A cultural walking tour of Antigua is included.
