Brazil and Argentina Discovery - Northbound

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Buenos Aires

Arrive in Buenos Aires at any time.

Day 2-5 Night bus / Iguassu Falls

After our full day of travel we arrive at the magnificent Foz do Iguaçu, or Iguassu falls, near the borders of Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina. In order to see the falls properly you need to view them from both the Brazilian and the Argentine side. The Brazilian side offers the grand overview, and the Argentine side a closer look. The best time of the year to see them is from August to November, as from May to July you may not be able to approach the swollen waters on the catwalks. We include a visit to both the Argentine and Brazilian side of the Falls and spend a couple of days to take full advantage of the many opportunities and activities, which include an exhilarating optional boat tour at the falls or a trip to the bird sanctuary on the Brazilian side of the falls.

Days 6-9 Night bus / Paraty

Travel again by overnight bus and arrive to explore the cobblestone streets of Paraty. Take an optional sailing trip or spend your day walking along one of the many fabulous beaches in the area.

Day 10 Rio de Janeiro

A short bus ride up the coast, Rio de Janeiro awaits. You may choose to explore some of the famous sites like Corcovado or Sugarloaf, or just relax on one of the city's famous beaches, sipping a caipirinha. Whatever you choose, Rio is sure to please.
